Just over four years ago, God brought Keith into our lives. We met when his younger brother, a friend from our days in Minnesota, connected us. We were just beginning to launch Village Soul and leading our first Alpha Course in partnership with Franklin Park Church. Since then, Keith has been involved in everything we've done and is still a part of the missional community we are currently launching. I've slowly seen Keith's life changed by the work of God's grace. He will often introduce me to friends by telling how God used us at a key point to save his life.
I recently sat down with Keith at our favorite coffee shop to give him a chance to tell his story to you. Here is a short video summarizing his story. As our Diakonos Community grows, I hope to see stories like Keith's continue to multiply. Your prays and financial support helps us be there for people at key moments of their lives.

Saying "Goodbye For Now." At the end of June our friend, Ricky Jenkins, succumbed to the effects of cancer in his body and passed into eternity. Though all of us who knew him were saddened by the news, we are confident that he is now with Jesus in paradise. At the first community gathering after his passing we took time to share memories of Ricky and the servant heart he demonstrated in all he did. It was a challenge and encouragement to each of us to continue to follow his example in liveinga life of service to "the least of these."

Prayer Requests
- A mother and son have recently connected with our missional community through volunteering with us at the food pantry and a new project working with friends without homes. We had a good conversation with the mother after a cookout we recently hosted. Pray that God would continue to draw their family into community with us and closer to Him.
- The school district is beginning to handle more of the responsibilities of The SPARC Center in-house. This has freed our missional community up to seek out new service projects. A new relationship we are developing is with an organization named Food 4 Souls, which delivers food, toiletries, and other necessities to people living in tent cities near downtown Indy. Pray for God's empowering as we share the love of Christ with the people we serve and those we bring to serve with us.
