Earlier this month, we hosted Troy Cady, our ministry coach from Christian Associates, for three days.  This was a great time for our family to get to know him better and fine-tune the vision for missional communities in southeast Indianapolis. On Thursday night Troy discussed with our core group an overview of the Journey to Jesus process we are now using in our discipleship.  We looked at the process Jesus used in making disciples and how we each of us can play a role leading others on the journey of following Jesus. The post-it notes on the wall behind us represent the different thoughts that came to each of our minds when we hear the word “discipleship.”  As the person who’s focused on bringing this team together, it was encouraging to hear the common threads and the diversity of perspectives come together to form a basic frame work for becoming an expanding community of followers of Jesus. Pray for wisdom and favor as we continue to process how to be a community that is making disciples of Christ in our everyday context. Financial Support Information. As we enter the summer months, we will be putting more focus on raising the budget Christian Associates has set for us to have our ministry funded.  Though we still need to raise one-third of our budget in faith promises, we have been blessed with some generous special offerings to help us with expenses during this time.  It is my goal to have our full budget raised by August 1.  Pray that God will give us favor in raising this remaining amount.
