On a couple of recent outreaches our Diakonos Community team served meals to friends without homes at a gathering spot near the main university campus in town. We are blessed to see how this team is coming together and building an identity around serving others. As one member recently said, "It's like we're an extended family." This is a healthy sign that Diakonos is becoming the type of commun

ity it is supposed to be. It's because of your prayers and financial support for us that we have the joy of serving this community.

In late April, our friend and Christian Associates (CA) ministry coach, Troy Cady, joined us for one of our outreaches to friends without homes in Indy. Afterwards he shared with us about the vision of CA and how our little community fits into the bigger community of CA. He encouraged us in the work we do and challenged us to see our work in light of God's desire to restore all things to His original design.

Our van, which we use for transporting team members and food to the camps we serve, is aging and in need of repair or replacement. We have had some funds come in toward this need. Our goal is to raise an additional $1500 to make necessary repairs or to acquire a low cost replacement. If you would like to give to this special need, please follow the giving instructions in the left-hand column.
